Everything My Chemical Romance.

This time last year, we were listening to Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) on repeat, anxiously anticipating My Chemical Romance’s fourth album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Since then, it has been a very fresh and exciting adventure.

So this is a tribute not only to the album but to all of us: the ones who woke at the crack of dawn to buy the album, the ones who knew all of the lyrics within days, the ones who waited around the computer or television for the music video premieres, the ones who caught all of the televised performances, the ones who read every tweet, the ones who decorated their rooms, cars, and whole lives with the American Widow, the ones lucky enough to get infected with the World Contamination tour. We watched this band finally return to the world of music after a wait that seemed like decades. We watched them achieve new success as SING rose on charts, was performed on Glee, and became a theme song for American Idol. And of course, we watched them grow into greater and better versions of themselves.

So as the first anniversary approaches, I want you all to remember the amazing journey that is behind us. Remember to raise your voice every single time they try and shut your mouth.  Never quit fighting for what you believe in. And most importantly, don’t ever forget: Killjoys never die.
